Metropolitan Opera tenor Marcello Giordani with Resident and Guest Artists of Cosi fan Tutte, 2009.
Resident Artists have been at the heart of Underworld Productions since our inception in 2004. We provide vocal, linguistic and dramatic training, transforming singers with little or no operatic experience into fully-fledged stage performers. Resident Artists frequently go on to become full members of the Underworld Productions ensemble. Click here to learn more about the 2009-2010 season's Resident Artist program.

This was a great opportunity to get a solid foundation in a role I hope to sing in the future.
Rehearsals were well organized and well run. [UP is] a company I would like to work with again.
The program definitely allowed me to develop an understanding of how things work outside of an educational environment. I also learned how I should pace myself while learning a role.
I really enjoyed being a part of this program, and would love to be a part of it again. Thank you for this very useful experience!
UP's 2008-2009 program included a vocal technique workshop with Dr. Robert C. White of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Program; a movement workshop with Janet Gerson, choreographer and former director of the Janet Gerson Dance Co.; and a rehearsal attended by Marcello Giordani, Metropolitan Opera tenor, followed by a Q&A with Mr. Giordani.
Experienced opera singers may audition as guest artists. If you would like to be considered for upcoming performances, please contact Gina Crusco at underworldprod@gmail.com.
